NL East Tour: Cleveland Redlegs

At a Glance
Owner: statman527 - .427 winning percentage, 0 playoffs, 0 World Series titles
Team history: statman527's 9th season at the helm, no playoff appearances in franchise history
Last season: 85-77, 2nd place in division
Top hitter: Edwin Parker (.311 BA, .387 OBP, .601 SLG, 46 HR, 122 RBI last season)
Top starting pitcher: Dennis Gray (7-14 with a 3.94 ERA last season)
Top relief pitcher: P.T. Jimenez (5-3 with a 2.57 ERA and 34 saves last season)

Notable Departures

Andrew Reagan: The Redlegs released Reagan, presumably to avoid giving him a big payday in his 2nd season of arbitration. Reagan posted a 5.61 ERA last season out of the bullpen. He signed a 2-year deal with the Goat Whores, where he will probably start.

Ernie Hernandez: Last season, Hernandez spent about half the year with the AAA ballclub and half the year in the big leagues. He batted .278 with 18 HR in 277 AB for the ML club last season, but was released, presumably to avoid being paid big in arbitration.

Notable Additions
None

Prospect to Watch
Harold Green: Green is a 23-year old pitcher on the Redlegs' AAA team. He was acquired in a trade with the Lancers in season 10. He has posted a 3.24 ERA in over 300 minor league IP, and should be ML-ready pretty soon. He projects as #2 or #3 SP.

Season Synopsis
Last season, the Redlegs tied a franchise record with 85 wins, and finished only 3 games out of their first ever playoff berth. They return every player of consequence from that solid campaign, but didn't add anything to help push them over the top and into the playoffs. I'm not entirely sold on the bottom of their rotation, and their bullpen has a couple holes. However, there's no reason to think they can't repeat last season's success. Season 12 prediction: 84-78
